The youth leaders of the "Do You Care? Campaign" presents ICare Week 2010, May 10th-May 15th.  Come out and join us for a week full of youth led violence prevention events. Please register in advance to ride the buses, and to enter into the basketball tournament.  
 
Monday, May 10th
Youth For Peace Rally at 5pm at the Daley Plaza-55 W. Randolph, Chicago IL

Youth from all across the city of Chicago will come together to publicize their outrage over the recent homicides in our city.It’s time for youth to make a stand.It’s time for the youth to demand peace.

Tuesday, May 11th
Hoops For Peace Basketball Tournament from 5-8pm at The Ark of St. Sabina-7800 S. Racine  Cost: $2.00

Youth will have the chance to show off their skills on the court, while engaging in the Hoops For Peace Basketball 5-on 5 basketball Tournament.Youth ages 12-24 can participate. Teams must register by April 30th. Registration for teams is $25.

Wednesday, May 12th
Poetry For Peace at St. Sabina's McMahon Hall at 1210 W 78th Pl, Chicago IL,
 FREE Admission

Through poetry, song, and rap, youth will share their stories and will express their thoughts about the violence and how we can make a change in our community

Friday, May 14th
Tomorrow Never Came-Youth Play on Gun Violence at 7pm at St. Sabina Academy, 7801 S. Throop, Chicago IL  Cost: $2.00

This play, written by youth, is dedicated to all of the children who were killed senselessly by gun violence this year.Tomorrow never came for so many of our youth, but their lives will never be forgotten.Come witness this amazing stage play, seen through the eyes of the youth.

Saturday, May 15th
Family For Peace Day from Noon-4pm in the St. Sabina Parking Lot, 1210 W. 78th Pl.

Youth and their families are invited to a day full of fun, peace, and fellowship.Youth will have the opportunity to learn about summer programming, jobs, and violence prevention initiatives. Come out and enjoy music, food, games, entertainment, and so much more!!!
