Parent Cafes also strengthen relationships among parents and between organizations and families. The Cafes creates the opportunity to spend undistracted time with other parents and draw strength, perspective and understanding and meaningful conversations about parenting. It provides a natural setting for parents to practive active listening and effective communication skills. It prepares parents to be their childreeen's best advocates and become active leaders in the local community.
