Artist Bios

Barbara Ann Martin - 

The American soprano Barbara Ann Martin was trained at the Julliard School of Music in New York. She lives in Chicago, where she teaches at the Music Institute of Chicago and continues to pursue an active concert career.

Grete Flintegaard - The Danish artist Grete Flintegaard sings Lieder, Jazz/Swing and plays the piano.  For the past 25 years, she has been the main organizer for the International Day Long Classical and World Music Concert in Denmark. 

Semion Balschem - 

The Russian world class pianist Semion Balschem was trained at the Moscow Music Conservatory. He also teaches, both privately and at conservatory level as well as at international master classes.

Note: If you are unable to attend this concert, we are also having a smaller concert on Wednesday, June 23, from 7:30 P.M. to 10 P.M. This concert will be held at the Fine Arts Building, 410 S. Michigan Avenue.  Seats are limited for the Fine Arts Concert, please RSVP as soon as possible to reserve your seat.
