Landscape Guidelines Workshop Launch and Book Launch!

Over the past year, the Chicago Greystone & Vintage Home Program has partnered with Christy Webber Landscapes to develop a comprehensive set of Landscape Guidelines to enhance the beauty, personal character, and sustainability of any Chicago vintage home. Written with the particular constraints of Chicago's standard 25-foot wide and 125-foot deep lots in the mind, the Landscape Guidelines offer practical, accessible best practices addressing:
  • Basic principles of good landscape design
  • Site considerations (i.e., sun/shade, soils, and water)
  • Plant selection
  • Seasonal maintenance, weeds, and pests
To celebrate the completion of the Landscape Guidelines, join the Chicago Greystone & Vintage Home Program and Christy Webber Landscapes on Thursday, June 2nd workshop and book launch event. Landscape design and gardening experts will be hand to introduce the Landscape Guidelines, help participants think through how they can be applied to their own properties, and answer questions about plants and other concerns. Attendees will get a free copy of the Landscape Guidelines book (normally $20) and discounts on plants purchased from Christy Webber Farm & Garden.

Workshop/Book Launch Details:

Thursday, June 2nd, 6:30-8 PM
Christy Webber Farm & Garden
2200 West Grand Avenue
