Each year, in preparation for the annual festival, SSA#32 hosts a summer food certification class for local food vendors.  This class is free for FOOD VENDORS located within SSA#32 Business District and only $40 for businesses located outside the boundary of SSA#32. The Summer Food Certification program is a 3-hour training session in food prep, handling, storage, and safety. Vendors who register and complete the class will receive a Summer Food Certificate that will give them the necesary credentials to sell food at any outdoor venue for the next twelve months. The next Food Licensing Class will be on May 6, 2015 from 9a - 12p. Reservation and registration is required. Please contact us if you are interested in attending this class.

SSA#32 hosts an annual business workshop designed to help business owners learn about important compliance and regulatory forms for the City of Chicago. Representatives from City of Chicago departments present information on differect topics like: Signage and Permits, Applying for Government Programs, TIF and SBIF, Facade Enhancement, and other important resources. Breakfast is provided by a local business. There is no fee to attend, but registration is required. If you are interested in attending the annual breakfast, please contact us.

If you are new to SSA management, are interested in creating an SSA, or have one pending - this training session is for you. You will receive personal coaching on progarm creation, reporting, Commissioner review and approval, and many other issues related to running and creating a successful Special Service Area (SSA). The training is provided by C Johnson and Associates.
