On April 18, 2017 the Collaborative hosted a webinar aimed at expanding understanding of the far-reaching impact of ACEs.

Heartland Alliance's Social Impact Center 2017 Poverty Report explores the relationship between poverty, violence, and trauma and through its findings argues that addressing Illinois’s violence crisis must involve investing in reducing poverty and treating trauma. The webinar speakers from the Social Impact Center, Katie Buitrago and Samantha Tuttle, uplifted data related to trauma as well as presented policy recommendations based on the report.
