The Historic Chicago Bungalow and Green Home Expo

Good news! The date for this year’s Historic Chicago Bungalow and Green Home Expo has been set!  Chicago’s largest and most popular home restoration, preservation and energy-efficient renovation expo, will be held Saturday, April 9, from 10am to 4pm at the Merchandise Mart.

As you may know, the Expo was created in 2002 and expanded in 2006 to include green home renovation resources.  More than 8,000 visitors flock to the 150 exhibitors, who provide information and resources to anyone looking to preserve, update or improve energy efficiency in their home.

Our goal through the Expo is to provide homeowners with useful information and resources that will assist in the maintenance and renovation of their home and in turn, create a stable and thriving neighborhood.  In order for the event to reach its full potential and maximize its outreach, we need your help.

As a friend of Historic Chicago Bungalows, we would be grateful if you added one of the attached “Expo buttons” to your website.  This would direct viewers to the Expo section of our website, which provides detailed information about the event.

In addition, it would be tremendously helpful if you distributed posters among your network.  We will deliver the posters to your preferred destination at your request.

Now more than ever, events such as this year’s Historic Chicago Bungalow and Green Home Expo are beneficial to the vitality of homes and neighborhoods.  With myriad information ranging from financial advice to energy efficiency knowledge, homeowners stand to improve their homes and, consequently, their lives.  In addition, the exhibitors, ranging from artisans to tradespeople, are able to bolster their business—many of which are small and locally operated.

This year’s Expo is an opportunity for growth and revitalization, and we hope to have your support.

Warmest regards,

Mary Ellen Guest
