Dear Friend:

You are invited to build the 100th KaBOOM! playground in Chicago's Auburn Gresham neighborhood with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois and hundreds of volunteers at the Lots of Love Community Center on Saturday, June 23!

Lots of Love Community Center (LLCC) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2009 to provide before and after school care for children in the Auburn Gresham community.  With the support of the Greater Auburn-Gresham Development Corporation (GADC), LLCC also works to serve community members of all ages through health fairs, job placement events, computer training, foreign language classes, senior programs, food drives and distribution and adult classes.  Currently, the children served by LLCC do not have a playground where they can have fun and enjoy the benefits of unstructured play.

The playground is among four being built across the state by KaBOOM! and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois this year.  Blue Cross believes it takes more than a one-time donation to make a lasting difference in a community, and it takes pride in developing collaborations with organizations that share its goal of health and wellness.
