Chicago Elev8 Key Leaders Travel to Washington DC
In December 2009, the Federation for Community Schools along with Public/Private Ventures, and key leaders from 5 Chicago Elev8 community development corporations traveled to Washington, DC advocating for the Full Service Community Schools Act and other specific pieces of legislation directly impacting Elev8.
The Chicago affliliates included the Greater Auburn-Gresham Development Corporation's Carlos Nelson and Tenisha Jones.
