Thankful for Green in the Community

The story of a community is not always written in black and while. The Greater Auburn-Gresham Development Corporation (GADC) is thankful for the many colors of our community, including our very own Urban "Green" Team.

The GADC's Urban Green Team (UGT) has been working very hard over the past year and beyond.  They brave the elements every day in their Safety Green garb, handling the maintenance and beautification efforts that keep 79th Street and the surrounding south side areas landscaped, clean, and free of debris, all while promoting our organization's green initiatives, recycling and environmental awareness.

I am showing my appreciation of them and their services today, at NOON ,at BJ's Market for a pre-Thanksgiving feast.  If you are in the area, in SSA #32 business district and have a minute, drop in, introduce yourself and say thank-you to our very own Urban Green Team members.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Carlos A. Nelson, Executive Director
