HOME NEWS: HARP & HAMP have been EXTENDED through 2016

On Friday, Many 8th, FHFA Director Watt announced that the Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) and the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) have been extended through 2016.  Here is a link to the speech: Link to Speech 

 
To get the word out that thousands more are eligible for HARP, FHFA will continue its outreach efforts and will begin a 10-day Twitter campaign using the hashtag #HARPFacts.  The cities with the highest number of HARP-eligible homeowners will be highlighted. 
 
Follow @FHFA on Twitter and RT or join us in helping to spread the message that thousands more could save an average of $185/month or $2,200/year!
 
FHFA has also updated HARP.gov with new information:
 
·         An interactive U.S. Map showing HARP eligibility numbers by MSA, State and Zip Code (as of Q4 2014)
·         HARP Fact Sheets for the areas with the highest HARP eligible homeowner populations (as of Q4 2014)
·         Updated infographics that highlights the national average savings number of $185
