The Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation Honored by Cook County Board For Community Service

The Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation (GAGDC) was honored by Cook Count Board President Toni Preckwinkle and the County Board, November 13, 2018, for their commitment, support and outstanding services to Greater Auburn Gresham Communities.

This award recognizes the hard work Carlos A. Nelson, executive director Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation (GAGDC) and his team have been able to achieve by leveraging and building capacity with experienced and new staff, working some exceptional communmity partners. "It is not just about me, that I should get all the accolades, says Carlos Nelson, CEO of GAGDC. That is why many of my growing team is in attendance with me, to be honored for the work they do on the ground day in and day out engaging residents, businesses and local institutions."

We believe strong collaboration and doing work with an equity lens are key core values, needed to deliver best-in-class services. We fundamentally know this foundation and teamwork will helo us sustain and grow healthy communities, with  proven positive impact, on the south side of Chicago. We are proud of our work and truly thank the Cook County Board for this recognition.
