Betty Jo Swanson, GAGDC board member and beloved resident of the Auburn Gresham made her transition

GAGDC Board of Directors Vice Chair

 Well Done, Betty Swanson.

It is with a heavy heart to announce that GAGDC’s Vice Chair Betty Swanson made her transition, Friday, January 20, 2023.

As you may be aware, Betty Swanson has faithfully served the Auburn Gresham community and beyond. In addition to working on the GAGDC Board for 20 years and most recently as Vice Chair. Ms. Swanson answered the call to service as the 7900 South Carpenter Block Club President, a co-facilitator for BEAT 612, Chair of the City of Chicago 006th District Senior Subcommittee and Vice Chair of the City of Chicago’s 006th District, District Advisory Committee (DAC).

Ms. Swanson’s presence, participation, and perseverance will be sorely missed. She has brought Auburn Gresham closer to our ideas and our Quality-of-Life Plan implementation, and we are grateful for her and what she brought to GAGDC.
