Pritzker Traubert Foundation announces recipient of the Chicago Prize - Official Press Release

Always Growing, Auburn Gresham has been awarded the first ever Chicago Prize, a $10 million grant competition of the Pritzker Traubert Foundation that sought to invest in collaborative initiatives using physical development to spur economic activity, strengthen civic infrastructure, and improve the safety, well-being, and economic mobility of residents in the city’s South and/or West sides.

The story of Brewer Coffee and Custard began with a family recipe. Owner Elijah Brewer III started experimenting with his mother's custard recipe at home and had a dream of one day owning his own custard shop.

Auburn Gresham community, came out and celebrated all our hard work contributing to Your Voice Matters Quality of Life Plan planning process. This was the first celebration of our collective works, held October 29, 2016, at the Salaam Restaurant & Bakery, 700 West 79th Street, from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Community Votes! and Dream Projects Are Spot On

The communities of the greater Auburn Gresham area made sure their voices were heard, over the past six months. On March 10th, almost 200 in attendance casted early votes and thier selected community dream projects are spot on!
