World War II Veterans Still Our Local Heroes

Jack Lyle, a local veteran, fought in WWII in Italy. In spite of all his life experiences, that came during and as a result of war, this is important to him. Even as important to him, is sailing. He and his wife Eunice, of 34 years, are longstanding proud Auburn Gresham residents.

Community Building New Beginnings for Veterans

On this rainy Veterans Day, November 11, 2014, as we honor veterans locally and across the nation, we also look forward to the completion of New Pisgah Church's construction project in Auburn Gresham. Tthe "Veterans New Beginnings Residence," is a nearly completed affordable housing building for veterans, located at 8140 S. Racine.

ComEd Offers Bill Payment Help to Veterans and Active Military Personnel.As we celebrate Veterans Day ComEd is reminding customers, including Veterans and active military personal, of its financial assistance and bill payment programs available to customers who have fallen behind on payments and need help with their electric bill. More than one million of the $10 million in assistance ComEd dedicated this year is still available for distribution.
