Maintenance and Beautification
The primary goal of the Maintenance and Beautification Program is to encourage a clean and inviting Business District for customers and community residents.
DEBRIS REMOVAL
The URBAN GREEN TEAM (UGT) AND CLEANSLATE are our community vendors for debris removal. They provide regularly scheduled, weekly cleaning services. Cleanslate is a Cara Program that works with individuals who need a second chance in the workforce and the community. The UGT is a local iniative created and administered by GADC that provides employment opportunities for local residents.
LANDSCAPING
THE URBAN GREEN TEAM is our partner for landscaping. They provide weeding, mulching, and greening services for over 30 blocks of space located within the Business District. They make sure the trees, grasses, and shrubs as at their best.
HOLIDAY SIGNAGE
Holiday decorations are provided within the SSA#32 Businesses District to encourage a festive shopping enviornment. Both sides of the streets along 79th Street, between the Dan Ryan and Marshfield are decorated with holiday reefs and christmans lights. The festive banners, decorations, and signs reinforce the spirit of the season for area residents and shoppers.
