Leading the way to a healthier Chicago: Mar 22, 2017; CCH Partner Michael Fagen, PhD, MPH, Associate Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Director of IPHAM's Masters in Public Health (MPH) Program, recently redesigned the MPH Foundations course to focus more squarely on public health practice.

Dr. Fagen said, "When I read the Healthy Chicago 2.0 plan I saw an opportunity to make public health issues immediately relevant for MPH students."

Students start by analyzing the Healthy Chicago 2.0 (HC 2.0) issues that were chosen for the plan, the data used to make those selections, and the viability of plan goals and objectives. They then consider how HC 2.0 strategies may be implemented by interviewing relevant stakeholders.
