GAGDC's Very Owns Makes It To The Sustainable City Urban App Finals

GAGDC's very own makes is one of the top finalists in the Center for Neighborhood Technology Urban Sustainability Apps Competition, which amplifies the impact of grassroots problem solvers by pairing community members with coders to create scalable, app-based solutions to neighborhood issues. A team of judges will pick the competition’s winners, and you’ll get to help decide who should take home the People’s Choice Award, on June 16th!

Auburn Gresham File Taxes For Free Until April 18th!

2016 Auburn Gresham Free Tax Site, starts Saturday, January 23, 2016. There is a new and improved locaiton, thanks to the upgraded, St. Sabina Community and Technology Center. The new location is 7811 S. Racine. Just 1/2 block away from the old site. The requirements are the same.It is still first come, first served. Doors open about 1 hour before start time. New large capacity waiting room. Pass the word!

The "Your Voice Matters" Housing Task Force meeting on February 4th to discuss strategies for the 2016 Quality-of-Life Plan in Auburn Gresham. The main organization leading the large charge for the plan development is NHS Auburn Gresham, along with the Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation (GAGDC) playing an instrumental role in co-writing, co-facilitating, and increasing community awareness. 

City Promotes Pop-up Passive Park and Local Jobs in Auburn Gresham To Sale Commerica

For those not familiar with the project, it basically is the city of Chicago's plans to develop a "temporary", commemorative walking park at 7901 South Halsted where the old Walgreens once sat.  It would exist only until the site is developed.
