Perspectives Mentor Program Another Intergenerational Education Success

For several years, the Greater Auburn-Auburn Gresham Development Corporation, participates in the Pespectives Charter School (PCS) five-week internship program. This fall 2015, we were sent to young adult gems, to expose them to real world experiences, in the workforce. Bravo young ladies!

"I am for Peace" Student-Led March to Spread Peace

On Thursday, June 5, at 9:30 a.m. "I Am for Peace" founder Razia Hutchins, a junior at Perspectives Charter Schools, and students from all three Perspective campuses will march for peace on the South Side.

As the number of killings increase on a daily basis, Perspectives Charter School students are taking a stand against violence and spreading a message of peace by staging a march that will include supporters from the community and businesses who want to disrupt the violence and save lives.

Lights On After School - ELEV8 Fall Festival

                  After School programs are so very beneficial to not only students, but parents and the community. With schools providing extended day services students have an opportunity to participate in enriching programs that will allow them to be more successful in their academics as well as in their social environments. On October 18th 2012 Elev8 at Perspective Middle Academy participated in the National campaign “Keeping The Lights On After School”. 

A new perspective for high school graduates

In its second year of graduating high school students, Perspectives Charter High Schools - Calumet (School of Technology and the Leadership Academy) graduated a combined 162 students from their high schools.

Skilled Professional Needed for Elev8 @ Perspectives

The Greater Auburn-Gresham Development Corporation (GADC) seeks to hire a part-time skilled professional who will be responsible for assisting with the coordination and implementation of ELEV8.

Auburn Gresham is a SMART Community

The Greater Auburn-Gresham Development Corporation (GADC) launched its Smart Communities Initiative with a digital and red carpet theme. With nearly 400 attendees, people of all economic and social make-up learned about Auburn Gresham’s digital platform and the resources made available to further develop them in Auburn Gresham.
